Flagged is an iPhone app published by Blacksands. By downloading or using Flagged, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app
Flagged is a flag-identification quiz game for iPhone. Each round presents 10 flags drawn at random from a pool of 195 countries, with four country-name options per flag. It is provided free of charge, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising.
2. License to use
Blacksands grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use Flagged on iPhones you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, or attempt to extract the source code or internal assets of the app, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law.
3. Accuracy of content
Flagged displays flags and country names as a study and practice aid. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate, but we make no guarantees about completeness, correctness, or currency. Borders, flags, and political recognition change. Use Flagged for practice — not as an authoritative or official source.
4. Third-party services
Flagged integrates with PostHog for anonymous analytics and flagcdn.com (Flagpedia) for flag images. Use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. If a third-party service is unavailable, parts of the app may not function. You may not extract or redistribute flag imagery from the app for commercial purposes.
5. Intellectual property
The name “Flagged,” the app design, interface, artwork, code, and other original elements are owned by Blacksands. Country flags themselves are public symbols of their respective nations and are used for educational purposes. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to the Flagged name or design beyond the license in Section 2.
6. No accounts, no data
Flagged does not require an account and does not collect personal information. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Flagged is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement. Use of the app is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blacksands will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Flagged, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
You may stop using Flagged at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or any of its features at any time without notice. These terms will continue to apply to your prior use of the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Blacksands is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the app.
11. Apple App Store terms
Flagged is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download and use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In the event of any conflict between Apple’s terms and these terms, these terms govern your relationship with Blacksands, and Apple’s terms govern your relationship with Apple.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Flagged after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
